The Climate Action Initiative Summit – 21 & 22 April 2026

The Climate Action Initiative Summit (organised by ZA Creative & Project Pty Ltd.) will convene South Africa’s leading policymakers, business leaders, financiers, youth activists and entrepreneurs for two days of high-level dialogue, practical workshops and innovation showcases that accelerate action on climate change. The Summit will align explicitly with UN Sustainable Development Goal 13 and the broader 2030 Agenda, focusing on mitigation, adaptation and climate finance across energy, industry and transport, water, agriculture, urban planning and nature-based solutions.
The Summit culminates in the Climate Action Initiative Earth Day Awards Dinner on 22 April 2026 — an evening that celebrates excellence, innovation and leadership in climate action across the continent.

Objectives

  • Fast-track practical, cross-sector solutions to reduce emissions and boost resilience.
  • Strengthen human and institutional capacity in climate mitigation, adaptation and early warning systems.
  • Mobilise finance and public-private partnerships for climate projects in South Africa and the region.
  • Showcase and scale entrepreneur-led sustainable innovations.
  • Honour outstanding climate leadership through the Earth Day Awards, raising public awareness and inspiring action.
