This coalition works to mobilise funding and build financial expertise. We convene investors, development agencies and policymakers to expand climate finance flows for developing regions. With billions needed for adaptation and transition, we promote innovative financing – grants, green bonds and public‑private partnerships, so that essential projects can move forward.
In vulnerable regions, we establish community projects that strengthen resilience, from restoring wetlands and urban green spaces (nature-based solutions) to installing multi-hazard early warning systems. These hubs bring together engineers, farmers, city planners and volunteers to design practical adaptation measures, reflecting best practices that can avert disaster losses.
We engage young leaders through mentorship, hands‑on projects and advocacy training. Aligned with SDG 13.5’s focus on youth and inclusivity, this fellowship empowers students and graduates to become climate ambassadors in their communities and sectors.
We support entrepreneurs who are developing climate solutions – providing seed funding, technical assistance and business coaching. By nurturing green start-ups and social enterprises, we help turn bold ideas into thriving ventures (for example, solar energy co‑operatives or sustainable food businesses).
This programme partners with local businesses, utilities and communities to deploy solar, wind and other clean energy projects at scale. We share best practices and facilitate investment so that South African homes and industries can switch to renewables faster, cutting fossil fuel dependence in line with global targets.
Each of these programmes is designed to translate ambitious climate goals into on-the-ground impact. We measure success in reduced emissions, safer communities and green economic growth.
